Puppet Heap is pleased to report that we have officially sealed the deal to take on the task of servicing the Muppets and “Bear in the Big Blue House” for Muppets Studio, the division of the Walt Disney Company that now produces the Muppets. Not only is this a great honor to play small part in the history of these treasured characters, but for some of us it represents an opportunity to return to work we had thought long since left behind.
Internationally renowned artist Pierre Huyghe once again calls upon the services of the Heap to make his dream a reality. Our animatronic penguin has been on view among other Huyghe works at the Tate gallery in London.
The Broadway production of Lestat has commissioned the Heap to create several masks and head pieces under the direction of costume designer Susan Hilferty.
Working with Writer/Director Koyalie Chanda, the Heap has finished work on the Nick Jr. pilot for “Lily in the City,” the adventures of a doll and her plush gator pal, Henry.
After years of working in kitchens, basements, garages and cramped apartments the Heap finally comes back home to Hoboken! We are now located in the Monroe Center on, well, Monroe Street just three blocks away from our birthplace back in 1992.
